Why the former Warden at PTS was a qualified disaster
UPDATED: Denise Theophilus, is no longer Warden and is no longer residing at PTS as of 30 September 2013 per the request of PTS President Forsyth, apparently he gave her less than 2 weeks' notice to move out causing her a great deal of personal distress that aggravated her current ill health.
Recently, during the summer of 2013, this website was very sorry to hear (unless this was just another rumor) that Ms. Theophilus is ill. This website hopes she recovers quickly, especially if her illness is in the early stages. Blessings to you, in spite of how horribly you have treated others, especially volunteers who have contributed their time, energy to PTS in past years but have fallen out of Ms. Theophilus' favor. Since Mr. Forsyth has taken control of PTS, Ms. Theophilus had helped run PTS because it was Mr. Forsyth who installed her as the Warden in the spring of 2009 and made her his "eyes and ears" at PTS so she would regularly report back everything she heard spoken by PTS members, mediums and guests. Whoever Ms. Theophilus wanted banned from PTS' services was backed by Mr. Forsyth.
The purpose of this website is to shine a light on how poorly PTS is being run by Mr. Forsyth for the benefit for a very few, in particular, Mr. Forsyth who is eager to put the property up for sale and wanted to put the property up for sale years ago, and Ms. Theophilus herself, who benefitted by having the run of the 44 Parkfield Road property without paying rent for 4 years. Before Mr. Forsyth took over in the summer of 2008, PTS was run to be self-supporting via the income from long term tenants. Instead, the warden had the run of the 4 story property when services are not taking place, while undue pressure was placed on visitors to pay for services and to donate money to the upkeep of the building at 44 Parkfield Road where PTS services are held.
The best thing about this warden while residing at 44 Parkfield over the past 4 years was that she served as a sort of human fire detector because she would have immediately reported any fire to the authorities. While she was staying at 44 Parkfield Road, no fire occurred inside the house. If a fire did occur while the warden was away from the building, however Forsyth is likely to blame the fire on the electrical system which in fact has been repaired and upgraded and use this as a reason to evict the warden and close the building once and for all. Forsyth has been heard on several occasions to discuss about how the building should be shut down because of the hazards of the electrical wiring. No one has properly looked into the coincidence of a fire that gutted several upstairs units just a few hours after a PTS Annual General Meeting had finished back in February 2009. This fire was blamed on the tenant who was not present when the fire occurred and used as grounds to evict that tenant.
Those who did upset the former Warden, Denise Theophilus, who is an expert on George Harrison and has organised several concerts honoring the memory of George Harrison over the past few years, have been treated poorly, even if they are unaware of having done so, no matter how tenuously, or even if they were volunteers gladly giving up their time and expertise not only to assist with PTS but also with her George Harrison exhibition. Regardless, once these volunteers were no longer needed either at PTS or with her George Harrison events, and expressed any criticism at all, they were subsequently and very quickly made most unwelcome in a variety of ways and treated unkindly despite Theophilus recently emphatically stating in an interview that "...George Harrison made kindness into an art form". This website applauds her efforts to tirelessly honor and keep alive the memory of George Harrison but not the way she has poorly treated former friends and volunteers who helped her with her George Harrison and PTS events.
For example, Mr. Forsyth was instrumental in supporting her efforts to have her former friends (who volunteered for her) stripped of their PTS memberships by revoking their PTS memberships--in violation of paragraph 6.5 in the PTS Constitution as no 15 day written notification was given, no discussion by the PTS Committee members was allowed by Mr. Forsyth. After revoking their memberships, Mr. Forsyth then rudely ordered--he yelled at these individuals out of a PTS Committee meeting on 17 Sept 2010 at which their tenancy agreement was to be discussed and voted upon and as such they were prevented from sitting in on this important meeting. Fellow PTS Committee Members in attendance were shocked and said nothing.
When she was on the "door" for services, she was observed to strongly enforce that visitors pay the required
donation--otherwise she would turn them away. She has been known and observed to make sure the tea room closes by 10pm or earlier despite evening services that sometimes finish as late as 9:30pm, regardless of how many are still in the tea room which has recently closed so the "tearoom" is no longer an issue for her.
She has been heard in the past to say that she believes that PTS is still open because of her efforts and that she has rescued the church from "parasites", such as the Duffys who were the previous tenants and unpaid volunteers, certain former PTS Members or former PTS Committee Members she dislikes.
Many mediums refuse to do services at PTS because of how they have been treated in the past by Denise. In the words of one medium, Denise "has been down right rude to me and also arrogant, during, before and after a service." Eventually PTS will be unable to continue services if more mediums have similar experiences as a result of the hostile environment created by Ms. Theophilus who appears to have the blessing and backing of Mr. Forsyth since her behaviour continues unchecked since 2009. This website suggests that mediums co-ordinate with other PTS Committee members like newly appointed Wendy Doyle (who frequently serves as a medium for PTS) instead of Ms. Theophilus.

a month's rent in small claims court, who believed HIS evidence, against PTS, in
preference to the evidence presented by Theophilus who instead claimed that
Duffy owed PTS rent. The Duffy's tenancy agreement was based on a 12 month
calendar year and they had moved out in the first week of Feb 2009 after having
already paid in advance a month's rent for March which Mr. Forsyth had promised
to refund and never did. Theophilus and the PTS Committee were adamant that the
Duffys were to pay by the week, or 13 rent payments based on a month that is 4
weeks but failed to change the Duffy's tenancy agreement to reflect the new
terms.
During the two years the Duffys lived at 44 Parkfield, as unpaid volunteers they repainted
the sanctuary, installed shower units, cleared out and restored the back garden, mowed the front lawn,
kept the carpark free of leaves and looked after the building. According to
Elaine Roberts, former PTS Secretary, "Carol/Ron are model tenants since they have been in the flat., in
fact, they were an asset to the church until Terry advised them that their
gardening and cleaning, which they enjoyed doing voluntarily and without
monetary gain, wasn't welcomed. They are also liked and supported by several
members of the church in that light." Despite all of the
unpaid work performed by the Duffys who took it upon themselves to help out
because there was no Warden, Mr. Forsyth and the PTS Committee ordered the
Duffys to stop these efforts shortly after taking control of the PTS Committee
in July 2008. In addition to taking care of the building, the grounds, Forsyth
ordered the Duffys to stop helping with services such as opening up the doors
even though there had been no warden since 2006 and frequently members/attendees
were forced to wait out into the cold car park until someone showed up with the
key minutes before a service was to start. Why? Mr. Duffy says that Mr. Forsyth
told him the following: "This building is mine....these chairs are mine...don't
touch anything." Less than a week after the Duffys moved out in early Feb 2009,
a fire mysteriously started in the flat next door to the flat vacated by the
Duffys a few hours after the Feb 2009 AGM meeting and the fire was blamed on the
tenant who had lived there for several years who was then forced to leave 44
Parkfield Road. These actions by Mr. Forsyth and the PTS Committee suggest a
hostile attitude towards longterm tenants and especially those who make the
mistake of volunteering. PTS is run by and for Mr. Forsyth, the Warden and the
PTS Committee, not for the greater PTS membership, and their actions have
resulted in many former PTS members never coming back, which makes it easier to
sell 44 Parkfield Road property especially if none of the older members are
around to object or remember that the property was purchased on behalf of the
PTS members at the time of purchase in 1954.

Drove passed the PTS (Psychic truth Society) Friday night at 10-45pm, gates had been
left open, no cars in the car park, only two lights left on, the whole place
looked abandoned, neglected and in ruins. I actually drove into the carpark and
had a little look round, what a mess it looks now. Those that are suppose to be
running it have certainly done a very good and fine job at bringing this once
magnificent church which was the “hub” of activity in Aigburth , a once lovely
warm welcoming place to be, they have certainly brought this church to its
knees, with greed and egos. I was greatly saddened when I drove out of this
place, a place I had served many a time, a place I looked forward to serving and
receiving the warm welcoming a chit chat over a brew, now its dark neglected and
a un-welcoming place to be.
