Below is the last will and probate of Muriel Wyatt McNaught, also known as "Lola McNaught", brother of PTS co-founder John McNaught.
Please note that nowhere in this will is mentioned Psychic Truth Society, PTS or the property; 44 Parkfield Road, Liverpool L17 4LF. Surprisingly, despite the expectations of many who attended the church, there was no bequest to PTS of any kind in the will despite the fact that Lola was a past President of PTS, a long time member, and from 1975 to 2001 was one of three land holding trustees for 44 Parkfield Road on behalf of the Psychic Truth Society members.
Also, despite the provision in the will that states that Lola would provide "written instructions" to Mr. Terry Forsyth regarding the disposition of her substantial bequest to him before her death, no "written instructions" were submitted to her solicitor before she died, and thus, are not part of her final will or probate, leaving Mr. Forsyth free to do whatever with two parts of the residual estate of Muriel Wyatt McNaught. In order for her "written instructions" to have been binding, she would have had to submit them to her solicitor before her death so the solicitor could have included them as part of her official will.
It has been suggested that Ms. McNaught had already opened up a trust fund for him at Charities Aid Foundation in the years before her death, which would have enabled Mr. Forsyth to avoid paying estate taxes. Surprisingly, per Lola's will and confirmed by information from Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), she did not setup Mr. Forsyth as a trustee of her McNaught Trust Fund that is listed in her will and received 1/3 of her residual estate. The McNaught Trust Fund, which did not include PTS as one of the designated charities, was instead administered by CAF. Mr. Forsyth has been heard to say that he administered the "McNaught Trust Fund" on behalf of the late Lola McNaught.
